Blog / New Central Kitchen for Lodi Unified School District

Henry + Associates Architects is proud to be part of the team working on the new central kitchen for Lodi USD. The kitchen will allow the district to provide 3,000+ meals per day to various schools throughout the area. Consolidating food preparation in a central location will assist the district in providing consistent, high quality, freshly prepared food, while reducing operating expenses.

Project construction begins next month and will convert this 16,000+ square-foot former warehouse and office into an efficient central kitchen. The building consists of tilt-up concrete walls, metal framed roofing and wood framed interior walls.

The interior of the building is mostly open.  Existing partitions will be gutted, except for the restrooms, which will remain.

Henry + Associates role in the project is to guide Lodi USD through the entire design and construction process, including conceptual planning, budgeting, design, construction documents, agency approvals and construction. Follow the renovation with us!
